In targeting and then executing investments, Charterhouse has a particular approach, which includes:

• choosing only those opportunities where we believe we have special insights
• backing first class incumbent management teams
• operating as sole equity sponsor and rejecting "club" transactions
• structuring our investments to support the growth strategies of the businesses we acquire
• involving the Charterhouse deal team to support the incumbent management in the achievement of the company's strategy, leaving day-to-day operational management to them
