Gordon Bonnyman


Gordon Bonnyman is Charterhouse’s Chairman.

Gordon joined Charterhouse in 1990 as Chief Executive. Between then, and the appointment of Lionel as Managing Partner in 2011, he was responsible for formulating the Firm’s investment strategy and overseeing the origination and execution of the Firm’s investment activities.

Gordon has spent more than 35 years in the private equity industry. He began his career with the Plessey Electronics Company in 1968 and then moved to Bankers Trust Company where he established, and ran, their European leveraged buy-out division.

Gordon has an MA from the University of St Andrews and an MBA from Columbia University.
